Easy Tasty Overnight Oats

Have you ever made/ had overnight oats? They are probably one of the best ways to save yourself some time in the morning instead of having to make breakfast from scratch. If you're a busy bee like me who considers time management as her weakness & is always running late- or like to sleep in because sleep is amazing- you have to try this recipe! Keep in mind that this recipe is vegan but you can substitute to non vegan options (dairy, sweetener, etc...) there is NO wrong way to making overnight oats!

I have tried many different variations of overnight oats but by far this one is my favorite!

Here is a list of things to consider:

1- Whatever milk you use (dairy or plant), make sure its double the oat ratio so the oats can expand overnight

2- For extra protein, you can add yogurt to your overnight oats

3- Mix well- very important, you want all of your flavors to blend together

4- If using fruit, you can also use frozen fruit, not much of a difference they will be defrosted in the morning regardless

  • 1/2 Cup Oats
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 TBS Peanut Butter
  • 1 TBS Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 TBS Cacao Nibs

Again, this is just what I used for my recipe but feel free to use different kind of milk, add more peanut butter (obviously recommend),swap maple syrup for honey or use different kinds of fruits!

All you have to do is mix these ingredients in the jar, stir them all in and pop it in the fridge, that's it!

Why Cacao Nibs?

Personally, I love adding a crunch to anything I eat and cacao nibs (although gets softer overnight) still gives me the slight crunchy texture, all while getting in my antioxidants and feeding my chocolate addiction (guilty)- Just be careful how much you use, cacao nibs are high in fat (Navitas Organics Cacao Nibs is 15g of Fat in a serving- 3TBS) hence why I only used 1 TBS
